FCC OKs TWI's Transfer Of Peachtree TV to Meredith

The Video Division of the FCC's Media Bureau has granted its consent for Time Warner, Inc.'s subsidiary Superstation, Inc., to assign the license for Peachtree TV (WPCH-TV) in Atlanta to Meredith Corp., smoothing the way for the proposed TWI-AT&T, Inc., merger to go forward without FCC oversight. TWI and Meredith had announced their plans regarding the Peachtree TV broadcast assets earlier this year. Peachtree TV is the only broadcast license held by Time Warner, which has said it does not expect to retain any FCC-issued licenses by the time it completes its proposed merger with AT&T, Inc.
