Lighthizer to Be USTR Nominee

President-elect Donald J. Trump has announced that he intends to nominate Robert Lighthizer to be the U.S. trade representative. Mr. Lighthizer was deputy USTR during the Reagan administration. He was also chief of staff for the Senate Finance Committee in the 1980s, and has led the international trade law practice at Skadden, Arps Slate, Meagher and Rom for more than three decades.
