Coupled Resonators in Measurements of the Dielectric Parameters of Thin Films

In this paper some methods for measuring the dielectric parameters of polymer films at 26 GHz are justified. An electrodynamic device is constructed on the basis of a two-mirror quasioptical resonator with a small-size measuring cell in the resonator field. In the millimetric waveband it is not expedient, due to large ohmic losses, to use the quasistatic resonator described in [1] as a measuring cell. Therefore, for frequencies f >= 25 GHz, instead of a dipole-slotted resonator [1, 2] we propose to use the topological equivalent of this resonator, namely, a cylinder with two slots arranged symmetrically; this cylinder can be regarded as two cylinders with wide slots (#theta# > #pi#/2) arranged so that their axes coincide.
