Orange, Denmark's smallest mobile operator, has launched a ground-breaking package aimed at getting the country's mobile phone users to ditch their fixed-line phones. Orange Mono mimics a price plan offered by Denmark's incumbent fixed-line carrier, TDC, which controls about 75 per cent of the fixed telecommunications market. Mono, which was launched on September 23, is targeted at both residential users and small and medium-sized firms. According to Orange research, Denmark's fixed-line voice market represents some 54 per cent of combined revenues from fixed, mobile and internet services.
