Incumbents' grip on broadband continues to loosen in 2Q

Western Europe's major incumbents saw their share of retail broadband net additions fall below 40% for the first time in 2Q06, according to figures from the Broadband Subscriber Database. During the same period the proportion of new subscriptions to unbundled lines rose to over 30% for the first time.
