OPTA moves to curb cable's dominance of Dutch TV

The Dutch telecoms regulator, OPTA, has issued a landmark proposal to erode cable operators' dominance of the Netherlands' TV market by giving rivals access to their analogue TV networks. OPTA hopes to make it easier for alternative operators to bundle analogue TV with broadband, mobile, telephony and other services. Cable operators are expected to strongly resist the proposal, which is still at draft stage.
