T-Mobile USA added 621,000 subscribers, net, Q4, 35 percent less than a year earlier. Contract churn was 2.4 percent, up from 1.8 percent, the carrier said. Blended churn, including contract and prepaid customers, was 3.3 percent, up from 2.8 percent. In 2008, the carrier added more than 4 million customers, compared with 3.64 million in 2007. T-Mobile USA, building out its 3G network, said 40 percent of devices sold to contract subscribers in the quarter were converged devices and about half of those were 3G-enabled.
