Rogers Communications said it bought Blackiron Data from Primus Telecommunications Group fornabout $195 million in cash. Blackiron is a data center and cloud computer services provider in Canada withnabout 4,000 customers that recorded about $33.7 million in sales in 2012, Rogers said. It operates eight datancenters within 200 kilometers of 80 percent of Canadian businesses, Rogers said. "This acquisition presentsnRogers with a significant growth opportunity in the business-to-business market that aligns with our overallnenterprise strategy," said Terry Canning, senior vice president of Rogers Business Solutions.
