In February 2016,I returned from the AUTM annual meeting, as I always do, weighed down with dozens of handouts from sessions, my notes, business cards, and a big bag full of information (and free swag) from the exhibit hall. It takes me a week at least to sort through what I've got, scan my notes for the best article ideas and follow-up assignments, and organize our coverage into a working outline. This year I assigned myself an article of marketing tips and "tricks" that came out of an interactive session I attended, along with our annual "Heard in the Hallways" column. The March issue included the latter, and in April I planned on including the marketing story.
