It's a common problem because usually, with most point and shoot cameras, the built-in flash is woefully inadequate to throw light beyond a few feet. The solution? Use a camera with adjustable exposure to capture more light. The photographs you see on these pages are all taken with slow shutter speeds. And it doesn't matter whether you're using a film camera or a digital one; the concept remains the same.
