When it comes down to Home Theatre/Sound Systems, choosing a wireless system over a wired one is a difficult choice. Is the extra cost justified? Does the audio quality suffer? Any audiophile will tell you that the best way to connect speakers to an amplifier is using good quality, oxygen-free speaker cable. But sometimes, it's more a matter of convenience rather than the sound quality. If you're setting up speakers in a room that's under construction, you can easily accommodate the wiring in the wall. But if not, you'll have to use external wiring for the rear speakers which looks ugly. In this case, you can opt for one of the different types of wireless systems; some work using infrared (line of sight required), while others use 2.4GHz wireless tech.
