North Carolina State Opens Centre As Proving Ground For Plasma Technology

North Carolina State University (NCSU) has opened a development centre for a new system that uses an environmentally friendly process to apply moisture management and water- and stain-repellent properties to apparel and other textiles. NCSU and its partners believe the system holds the potential to create garments that stay clean longer, are more comfortable to wear and do not show perspiration, yet cost less than garments finished with conventional processes.
