Developments such as nano-fibres will take priority for Japan's Teijin, which has just announced drastic changes to the global structure of its fibres operations.rnThe company is winding up significant production capacity in Japan and the USA, making Thailand its new base for this business. It will terminate all operations related to polyester filaments and polyester staple fibres, with the exception of research and development (R&D), at its Matsuyama Plant, in Ehime,Japan, where the business was first established in the 1950s.
