I was interested in the insulation article "Making Fiberglass Work" that ran in FHB #246 (and also appeared in FHB's Energy-Smart Homes special issue). However, I believe there is a construction-code violation shown in the photo at the top left of p. 70.1 didn't think using cans of spray foam to seal holes in fhe top plates of framing was permitted. In New Hampshire, my building inspector required fire-blocking caulk to fill any voids or holes between the floors of residential structures. I wound up using 3M's Fire Block Sealant FB 136 to be in compliance.
