Collaborative Technologies Mitigate Challenges in US Domestic Trucking Market

It emerged last year that shippers were going to market earlier-and more frequently-than ever before to ensure that their 2019 capacity needs would be fulfilled. Mid-year statistics from our transportation sourcing platform showed an increase of 1,000 more RFPs year over year between July 2017 and July 2018. This 35 percent increase is not an irregularity, but a symptom of the record-setting levels of demand for domestic road transportation. Added to that, shippers are going out to bid earlier than in previous years.
