More than 150 delegates from Europe, USA and South Africa converged in Johannesburg at the beginning of February to discuss the application of concentrating solar thermal technology in South Africa. CSP Today South Africa lived up to its reputation as being the place for international stakeholders to meet and discuss how to drive the CSP industry forward in that country. The conference was opened by Pancho Ndebele in his capacity as Chairman of The Southern Africa SolarThermal and Electricity Association (SASTELA), who welcomed the delegates, making special mention of the South African government departments who were well represented at the gathering.
