In search of integrative logics:Reframing the climate change debate

In sum, we have discussed the role that conflicting logics play in the climate policy stalemate and have provided prospects for reframing the climate change debate so that progress can be made. In particular, changing the focus of the conversation from the costs of action to the costs of inaction, identifying integrative logics that generate buy-in from both skeptics and advocates and fostering dialogues that respect stakeholders' identity-based concerns are likely to reframe the climate debate via building upon the common ground that climate skeptics and advocates alike share in regard to the pursuit of energy independence, the creation of green jobs and the preservation of community identities.
