Congress Takes Up Complexity in Financial Reporting

Robert Herz, chairman of the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB), didn't show up at the House Financial Services Committee hearings on March 29 with a bulls-eye on his back. But representatives of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and Financial Executives International (FEI) teed off on him, in polite language of course, over the FASB's proposed Fair Value Measure ment standard.
