Taksonomiczna analiza ryzyka spółek giełdowych z regionu podkarpackiego

The subject of this research study is the assessment of risk in the functioning of stock associations. The research has been carried out on 11 companies of the Podkarpacie region, all of which are listed in Warsaw Stock Exchange. Risk is a complicated and multifaceted category. The adopted research methodology has been based on the procedures which are described in the taxonomic literature. During the taxonomic analysis, a set of diagnostic features has been selected. A tentative list of diagnostic features included 28 items, comprising financial and market indicators, which are commonly used for assessing the operation of companies in conditions of risk. The adopted substantial and statistical criteria allowed for eliminating 18 preliminary indicators from the research, so the final list includes 10 indicators. The adoption of taxonomic procedure, used for evaluating the attractiveness of investment, helped to compile a ranking list of stock associations of the Podkarpacie region in terms of risk.
