NASUCA Supports FCC's Inquiry on Early Termination Fees

The FCC should study wireless carriers' early termination fees in light of Verizon Wireless' doubling its fee in contracts for smartphone service, said the National Association or State Utility Consumer Advocates. It repeated its opposition to CTIA's June withdrawal of a petition asking for an FCC ruling that the fees are "rates charged" for commercial wireless services and don't come under state regulation.
