It is with great pleasure that I greet you as the new Executive Editor of the SPEPO Journal. I have a difficult act to follow in Norm War-pinski, the outgoing editor. I'd like to take this opportunity to thank him for his service to SPE and the SPEPO journal and to add a personal note of thanks for his support and assistance with my transition into this position. For those of you who don't know Norm personally, he is very generous with his time and knowledge, andrnfor that, I am very thankful. I would also like to thank Yannis Yortsos, the SPE Editor-in-Chief, for the opportunity to serve SPE in this capacity.
