IAC 2008 Glasgow

After years of planning the day had finally come for IAC 2008. All of us were very tense that everything would go right for the week. It started with a short and very entertaining Opening Ceremony hosted for us by astronaut Piers Sellers. Guest of honour was HRH the Duke of Gloucester. As each day went by the number of delegates and visitors grew steadily, and by the end of the week we had broken the Spanish record of 2,600 attendees at Valencia in 2006. Every aspect of Scottish culture was covered and enjoyed by many, from Robert Burns' poetry, whisky tasting to learning the Gay Gordons. The week's finale was a dinner and dance at the beautiful Kelvingrove Museum and Art Gallery. Fun was had by all - the only complaint was that it wasn't long enough!
