Using duct tape, elbow grease and a great deal of ingenuity, two teenagers from Toronto, Canada lofted 'Lego Man in Space' to the stratosphere nestled aboard a helium-filled weather balloon. In a flight lasting 97 min they captured stunning video of the miniature toy figure back-dropped by the beautiful curvature of Earth and the desolate blackness of space. 17 years-olds Mathew Ho and Asad Muhammad launched the tiny 2 in tall Lego figure from a local football field in Toronto that soared to the stratosphere, up to a height of about 85,000 ft (25km) whereupon the 22 ft (7 m) diameter helium balloon burst and the home sewn parachutes unfurled for the glide down to Earth'.
