Telenor Reports Higher Revenue and Gross Profit

Satellite fleet operator Telenor Satellite Broadcasting on May 8 reported a 4.5 percent increase in revenue and a 10 percent jump in gross profit for the three mondis ending March 31 following late payments from customers that had forced die company to set aside provisions for bad debt. Oslo, Norway-based Telenor was able to reverse die bad-debt provisions and post an EBITDA, or earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization, of 178 million Norwegian kroner ($31 million) on revenue of 250 million kroner.
