The National Air and Space Intelligence Center (NASIC) may not be the most publicized area of the Pentagon's space operation, but its work has not gone unnoticed by those who depend on its analysis. NASIC maintains a low profile, but the center played a pivotal role in two of the most high profile space and missile defense events in recent memory — the North Korean missile demonstrations in July 2006 and the Chinese anti-satellite test on Jan. 11, 2007.
