I don't see this happening. With the construction trades, it is relatively easy to come up with a list of strict criteria that power outlets and devices must adhere to, even HVAC. The rules for how a light switch is supposed to act are fairly straightforward. However, due to the complex and custom nature of all AV spaces, the criteria are very fluid. One client may need speech systems to be distributed at 65dB SPL, another may require it to be 70dB SPL. One client may want to include all common supported resolutions included in its EDID plan, another may only elect to allow one. One client may insist that there be no acoustic echo and great duplex performance on its conference system, and another client, in an effort to keep costs low, may allow poor duplex performance but no echo.
