Reeling In The Years....

Although I don't remember the exact month and day, 31 years ago, in the spring of 1987, I submitted my first article to an AV trade magazine-AV Video. Since then, I've lost count of how many feature articles, columns, tutorials, product reviews, trade show recaps and sidebars I've cranked out, using everything from an IBM electric typewriter, to WordPerfect on an MS-DOS PC, to Word on a Windows 10 laptop. It has to be well over a thousand submissions, though. At one point, I was writing for as many as five different magazines simultaneously, covering everything from video production and digital cinema, to AV installations, home theater, live-event staging and broadcast engineering. That's a lot of ink!
