Thousands of British troops could lose the chance to vote in elections this year if they do not act soon, the Electoral Commission has warned. It is urging all soldiers to make sure they have completed a voter registration form online or by visiting a unit registration day being held this month. Samantha Mills, head of campaigns at the organisation, said: "The British Army is made up of a very mobile population: moving house, moving base and being deployed overseas are all factors that result in lower registration rates among Service personnel.
