STRENGTHENING THE BED SOILS OF EXISTING BUILDINGS BY CRUSHED-STONE PILES

摘要

A method of analyzing the strengthening of foundation beds with crushed-stone piles is discussed. The installation of crushed-stone piles [1] is an inexpensive and effective method of strengthening the bed soils of foundations under confined basement conditions where the ground-water table is low in clayey and sandy soils that retain their stability when holes are passed through them.
