What a Day! Yesterday, I learned that we're about to plow through a cloud of molecular hydrogen at nearly C, and to protect our outside maintenance engineers, we need to rewrite the old dosage-tracking system. I walked into the lab on 44 just before 0800 this morning. Carole and Jerry were already there. He looked resigned and was chatting with Carole -about something that he clearly found embarrassing. A few minutes later, Jasper, Avery and Jean walked in. Avery gave me a smile as though nothing were wrong-perhaps nothing was. I wanted to talk to him, but Carole convened the meeting before I could. We all moved toward the conference table at the end of the lab. I grabbed a chair, and Avery took the one next to me just as Carole started talking. "Jean and I have written up some initial stories for the new dosage-tracking system-by the way, we're calling it DTrack," she smiled. "I'll walk through the stories, and you can ask questions. The first story is Register Suit." Carol placed an index card labeled Register Suit on the table.
