Paul Schweizer reports on Schweizer Aircraft Corp. activities commenting, "Interest in soaring continues to grow, and the SSA active membership curve looks like it has an exponential trend." However, existing public misunderstanding suggests a need to describe modern soaring. A project for this purpose is a film produced by Dick Huppertz that will be available from Schweizer dealers. The Schweizer Soaring School in 1960 had 4,137 flights for a total of 1,425 hours, issuing 121 FAA ratings, 7 Silver Cs, and 20 Silver C legs. Sailplane sales are growing with the help of the 18 dealers. The company has completed the 100th 2-22, has received the type certificate for the 1-23H, and is working on the prototype 2-32. Their airplane project is the 2-31, the two-place version of the 1-30.
