Calif. PUC eyes reversing part of PG&E’s smart meter project to pacify protesters

Now that Pacific Gas and Electric Co. has nnearly completed its smart meter installa-ntion project that has taken the utility several nyears and $2.35 billion to accomplish, the nCalifornia Public Utilities Commission is con-nsidering giving PG&E customers the option nof having their smart meters pulled out and nreplaced with old analog meters for an addi-ntional price.
