Extremely mild weather had a “sharp impact” on power demand for thernTennessee Valley Authority in the first three months of fiscal year 2016 thatrnended Dec. 31, 2015, according to President and CEO Bill Johnson.rnDuring the TVA’s Feb. 3 earnings call, Johnson said quarterly electricityrnsales were down 8% year-over-year, driven by the mild weather. “Thernwarmer weather was a contrast to the same period last year when extremelyrncold temperatures drove sales higher than normal,” he said. “We continue tornbenefit from the diversity of our power fleet taking advantage of lower fuelrnprices and the output of TVA’s robust hydropower system, which helped keeprncosts down.”
