KAIROS: LNG bunker supply vessel

Alack of LNG bunkering infrastructure is being addressed by a new breed of ships -LNG bunker supply vessels - of which the 7,500m3 Kairos, delivered to Babcock Schulte in October, is the world's largest. The vessel is now being operated by Blue LNG, a joint venture between Nauticor and the Lithuanian energy infrastructure provider KN. Operationally the ship will be used both to deliver LNG bunkers to ships for ship to ship transfer and for coastal distribution as required.
