Sharing Disaster Relief Mapping Technology

The U.S. Defense Department is sharing GeoSHAPE, a geospatial tool for security, humanitarian assistance and partnership engagement, with other governments and organizations. When the system is ready to be used worldwide, it will be accessible in two ways: through an Internet portal using an application called DisasterAWARE hosted by the Pacific Disaster Center in Hawaii, and as downloadable software available on the Internet.
