AFCEA will present its 1996 Distinguished Service to Education Award to Dr. Alexander H. Levis for his longtime dedication and remarkable contributions to education related to communications, intelligence and information management systems. Levis is professor of electrical, computer and systems engineering at George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia. He is associated with the university's command, control, communications and intelligence (C~3I) center of excellence, where he heads the C~3 architectures laboratory. From 1992 to 1994, Levis was chair of the systems engineering department at George Mason.
