Passenger vessel Sea, under tow to the scrapyard at Alang, India, took on an increasing list and sank off South Africa on 12 July. Built as the Swedish America liner Gripsholm in 1957, the ship has been laid up in the Bahamas since Regency Cruises' bankruptcy in October 1995 when she operated as Regent Sea. Before that she sailed as Navarino.
