Carnival cruise lines Carnival Legend (2002/85,942gt) 'made contact' with Royal Caribbean's Enchantment of the Seas (1997/ 81,500gt) when manoeuvering away from the pier they were sharing in the Mexican port of Cozumel on 30 September. Gusts uprnto 50 knots pushed Carnival Legend against the stern of the docked RCI ship, despite the best efforts of bow and stern thrusters. Fortunately, the impact only resulted in minor damage to both vessels, and no injuries were reported.
