Worker for the Seabed

Norway's fjellstrand yard has delivered the 88.8m multipurpose offshore vessel Seabed Worker to Seabed AS of Bergen Norway. The DP2 classed ship utilises a propulsion system of two 2,500kW stern-mounted Voith propulsion units, a Rolls Royce l,000kW tunnel bow thruster and a Rolls Royce 1,000kW retractablernazimuthing bow thruster, all powered by a set of four Cummins QSK60 DMI 1800kW generators. The newbuild is also equipped with two hydro-acoustic positioning reference systems as well as an ROV-hanger, and a 5.4m by 6m moon pool fitted with a sliding hatch cover. Seabed Worker is capable of handling subsea construction work down to a depth of 4,000m.
