Norland Played A Major PART in the British response to the Argentine invasion of the Falkland Islands in April 1982. Requisitioned by the Ministry of Defence on 17 April, she was away almost exactly a year before returning to the Hull-Rotterdam route after 286 days of military service, sailing 66,093 nautical miles.
