Forty-two years is not a bad age for a cruise ship, especially one built at a time when the economical expected life for such a ship was around 25-30 years. So perhaps it is not surprising that Louis Cruise Lines' Louis Rhea (1971/14,194gt) has finally succumbed to the breakers' torches after a year when she has not been used.
