Arklow trio disposed of

Arklow Shipping's oldest fleet members, a trio of Dutch-built Ⅴ class sisters of 4,950dwt originally ordered for previous owners from Pattje Shipyard BV, were all disposed of in July, with Arklow Venture the last to leave service. Like Arklow Venus, she dates from 1999, with Arklow Viking completed in 2000. All single-hold 90m vessels are to be replaced by a new series, again with the Ⅴ nomenclature. The foreship section of leadship Arklow Vale was completed in June for the Irish company, which has a Dutch subsidiary based in Rotterdam.
