Warner commissioned

The US Navy commissioned USS John Warner (SSN 785), its 12th Virginia class attack submarine, at Naval Station Norfolk, in Norfolk, Virginia on 1 August. The second Block Ⅲ vessel features a revised bow design, with the 12 vertical launch tubes of earlier blocks replaced by two canisters containing missiles or other payloads borrowed from the Ohio class SSGN programme. It also has a different sonar design.
