Londonderry, a rapidly developing deepwater port in the north west of Ireland, is capable of dealing with a range of vessels, but specialises in handling bulk cargo, as shown in these photos of bulkers on the river Foyle. Londonderry Port and Harbour Commissioners manage, maintain and administer the port, which last year saw over £500 million worth of goods imported into the region. The Commissioners are the Conservancy Authority for Lough Foyle between the harbour limits from Craigavon Bridge to a line between Magilligan Point and Greencastle.
