A unique experience

Based in Weymouth, Dorset, the 226gt tall ship Pelican Of London is operated by Adventure Under Sail, a registered charity founded in 2008. This small three-masted ship, which offers sailing experiences for all ages, has had a very interesting career. Constructed at Le Havre by Chantiers et Atelliers Augustin Normand in 1948, she was originally Le Pelican, a French deepwater trawler. Her hull design was based on the French clippers of the 1870s, with a flared bow and a raked keel.
