摘要

The centrepiece to Sunderland's new bridge was transported from Belgium to the city in early January. The unusual cargo, an A-frame pylon which will stand 105m above the River Wear, left Ghent on 5 January and arrived two days later. The pylon will form the centrepiece of the New Wear Crossing, which is due to open in the spring of 2018.
