SEA DIAMOND TO BE RAISED

The Greek Government has recently ordered that Sea Diamond be raised. The ship, which has spent more than ten years 300ft under the water in Santonin's caldera, is a hazard to shipping and the environment. While the latter may be true, it is difficult to imagine the wreck, so far down and well marked in a fairly isolated bay, causing any nuisance to passing vessels.
