U-Ming Marine Transport of Singapore has ordered two 325,000dwt Very Large Ore Carriers (VLOC) from China's Qingdao Beihai Shipbuilding Heavy Industry as part of a 25-year contract signed with Vale International SA of Switzerland. The two vessels are to be finished to an LNG-Ready configuration and will be used to transport iron ore from Brazil to China.
