摘要

As of January 1st, 2009, 19,813 ships (1,000 gt and over) with a total of 737.8 mill dwt were controlled by OECD countries representing a dwt share of 64.5 per cent of the world merchant fleet. The OECD-controlled fleet increased by 6.6 per cent in terms of tonnage comparing the January figures of 2008 and 2009. This increase is also reflected in the ship type analysis. Tonnage figures for 2009 indicate that OECD controlled tonnage (dwt) had high shares in the world tonnage with respect to passenger ships (81.4 per cent), container ships (78.5 per cent), bulk carriers (69.5 per cent) and tankers (66.1 per cent).
