Hull No. 555, Bella Desgagnes - keel laid

On 10 of December 2008 the keel for Bella Desgagnes (Hull No. 555) was ceremonially laid at Shipyard Kraljevica. This keel laying marked the start of shipbuilding on a new, passenger-vehicle-container vessel for Canadian ship owner Transport Desgagnes Inc. The company is a part of a Group Desgagnes Inc. that represents the leading carrier of petroleum products in Canada. Despite the actual financial crisis and the very difficult economic situation, Group Desgagnes was able to prolong its continuous investment project of renewing the fleet, adding one more vessel with a total value of almost 40 million EUR.
